What is the Pro-Nox™ System?
This Pro-Nox™ System is a medical nitrous oxide system that is completely administered by the patient for when they are feeling any pain or anxiety during the procedure. It is completely safe to use, and the effects wear off shortly. It contains 50% Nitrous oxide and 50% oxygen, helping you to feel pain and anxiety relief while giving you a sense of control.
How Does the Pro-Nox™ System Work?
This system is self-administered, much like some tools used in a dental office. A long tube is hooked up to the machine containing the nitrous oxide and oxygen when the patient is feeling any signs of pain or anxiety, they inhale the mixture from the tube and instantly feel relief. There are alarms on the machine that let you know when the gas is low as well as a safety shut off the system when the gas pressure is too low. This system has been helping patients with pain and anxiety for decades during all types of procedures.

Dr. Nicolette Picerno is a double-board-certified facial cosmetic surgeon certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology. She received her medical degree from Hahnemann University, School of Medicine in Philadelphia, and completed her fellowship for the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Beeson Aesthetic Surgery Institute in Carmel, IN. She also completed the Cenegenics Physician Training and Certification in Age Management Medicine program in 2012 and became a certified BioTE provider in 2014. When not in the office, Dr. Picerno enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, skiing, playing tennis, and running her doggie daycare with her husband.
