In-Office Liposuction (& How It Pairs With Renuvion)

Liposuction, a cosmetic surgery method used to remove fat, can be utilized to remove fat from different parts of the body such as the arm, buttocks, abdomen, hips, thighs, and more. People who turn to liposuction generally do so to get rid of fat deposits which they are having difficulty with. Liposuction works to mitigate the amount of fat cells in local fat stores. While liposuction is generally sought out for cosmetic purposes, as opposed to health conditions, it can help with different conditions such as lymphedema, gynecomastia, and lipomas.

About Liposuction Combined with Renuvion

To maximize liposuction results, Renuvion, a device that uses Helium gas and radiofrequency to create a field to enhance muscle definition and tighten the skin, can be used in conjunction with liposuction. Renuvion uses radio frequency energy which is emitted along with helium and applied to the treatment area to aid in tightening loose skin. This helps rejuvenate the skin, producing more collagen. Renuvion, along with liposuction, works to reduce blood loss and shorten recovery time from the procedure.

Liposuction Options

We offer different options for liposuction which utilize advanced technologies to achieve the desired results. SmartLipo is a laser-assisted method designed for lipolysis, or the breakdown of fats and other lipids. The laser energy is used to restructure the skin and, similar to Renuvion, helps in lessening bleeding and bruising and also tightens the skin of the treatment area. SmartLipo is minimally invasive and can treat many areas of the body through advanced technological methods to stimulate collagen and disrupt fat. SmartLipo does not use a suction method such as traditional liposuction and is a safer alternative.

Vaser Hi-Def Lipo, another minimally invasive method, utilizes ultrasound waves to sculpt musculature and helps in definition. It is also a gentler option to traditional liposuction. This approach incorporates tumescent fluid (a mix of saline, lidocaine, and epinephrine), which facilitates fat removal and provides a host of benefits such as decreased swelling, bruising, and bleeding.

Who is a Good Candidate for Liposuction?

If you have concerns over stubborn fat which you have tried to get rid of through other methods such as exercise or diet, have firm and elastic skin, and are within 30 percent of your ideal weight, then liposuction may be the right choice for you. It is important to note that liposuction will not resolve loose skin.

Preparation

You should avoid non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications such as aspirin and ibuprofen, herbal supplements, and vitamin E as they can increase bleeding. If you are a smoker, you should take a couple of weeks off before and after the procedure to help with recovery.

Recovery and Results

You can expect swelling of the treatment area for a few days after the procedure and it will gradually decrease. With Renuvion and a healthy lifestyle following the procedure, you can expect the results to be life-changing and largely beneficial.
